Music as Therapy
Music is therapeutic. Expression is good for the soul, whether it’s playing the piano, hitting some drums, singing, or writing a song. Personally, I find songwriting one of the fastest ways to turn difficult emotions into a sense of expression and achievement. Creating music brings unconscious material into awareness in the most unexpected of ways. It can also be liberating to explore your life story without the pressure of finding the right words. Perhaps you have a loved one who is non-verbal, or a child who might benefit from this?
These sessions are all about finding out what you enjoy and tailoring the sessions so that you can express yourself however you feel comfortable. If you want to use these sessions to explore difficulties that you’re experiencing in your life then we can make time for that. If you don’t want to, then sometimes the music alone is enough.
